This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a subscription.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a subscription.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
This gallery seems like it's more about quantity than quality.
I'd reccommend trying your hand at some traditional illustration with traditional subjects. You'll find that with practice, you'll improve your work and move away from the MS PAINT look.
Ah...what I used to do with traditional illustration was attempt to get everything clean and perfect. I think that is one of the things that people dislike about it. It is hard to achieve that perfection, especially since there's a lot of erasing and postwork involved. People typically look at the sketchbook page being the first and the last step.
I usually work very rough on sketch paper and my sketches are typically a mess of lines and shapes. But I don't care about perfection, since nobody is ever going to see the initial gesture/concept. It's more about building upon and exploring a concept until I've hit a breakout drawing. At that point, I take it digital and begin the refinement process in photoshop.
Alright. Thanks for the criticism. I'm really trying to practice anatomy with my hand.
For some reason, I'm better at drawing with a mouse rather than my hand, dunno why. Probably because I could fix my mistakes without ripping out the paper from my notebook or whatever.
